Douglass Lawder

- started his athletic journey as a kid. Physically gifted he would have fun jumping and flipping off of his horse, always the jester, and later got an athletic scholarship to Tabor Academy. He was offered a lacrosse scholarship for college but soon found himself in Hollywood pursuing a career in stunts. After writing a movie script and trying his hand at private investigation he moved to Santa Fe and joined the ski patrol. Movement and the joy of fitness brought him to personal training, where he found, helping people to be the greatest reward.

Douglas became known as one of Santa Fe’s premier celebrity trainers working with Harrison Ford ,Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell, Charlize Theron, Marisa Tomei, Amanda Seyfried, Chase Bailey, Katee Sackhoff and many others. But it wasn’t just movie stars that sought him out for training, Joanne Halifax, a Buddhist priest found him to be the caring, focused trainer she needed for her fitness.

Douglass’s ability to connect and offer just what any client needs is why he has had clients for over 20 years. He is a full spectrum trainer, able to meet anyone just where they are.

Being stretched by a certified trainer improves your sport performance, joint pain, motion and flexibility and reduces muscle pain. Stretching is something we all know we need to do but is often put on a to-do-list that gets dismissed by the end of the day. At Railyard Fitness Douglass ensures that your stretch is part of every workout.
